Thy Word

Romans 15

1 We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak and not to please ourselves. 2 Each of us should please our neighbors for their good, to build them up. 3 For even Christ did not please himself but, as it is written: “The insults of those who insult you have fallen on me.”[a] 4 For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope.
5 May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, 6 so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
7 Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God. 8 For I tell you that Christ has become a servant of the Jews[b] on behalf of God’s truth, so that the promises made to the patriarchs might be confirmed 9 and, moreover, that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy. As it is written:
   “Therefore I will praise you among the Gentiles;
I will sing the praises of your name.”[c]
 10 Again, it says,
“Rejoice, you Gentiles, with his people.”[d]
 11 And again,
   “Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles;
let all the peoples extol him.”[e]
 12 And again, Isaiah says,
“The Root of Jesse will spring up,
   one who will arise to rule over the nations;
in him the Gentiles will hope.”[f]
13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Random news about my Auntie (my mom's sister

2 Timothy 3

New International Version (NIV)
2 Timothy 3
1 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.
6 They are the kind who worm their way into homes and gain control over gullible women, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires, 7 always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth. 8Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these teachers oppose the truth. They are men of depraved minds, who, as far as the faith is concerned, are rejected. 9 But they will not get very far because, as in the case of those men, their folly will be clear to everyone.

This described my uncle Yao (My mother's sister's husband). She is contemplating about separating from him from a while, he cheated on her many times, controls her allowances......and is extremely hostile towards Jesus.

He matched the above description exactly in verses above.... He is so unhappy and he makes others miserable (especially my aunt). And I knew a certain former pastor who is just like that as well. These people are the mark of the last day phenomenon.

I do not understand how can someone who has so much and is the most ungrateful person on earth.

Most people i know has received so much blessings, and i am not talking about only material
blessings, they got talents, families, friends, but they just stopped going to the Lord
after everything is fine and dandy....and I have known so many people like that, its tiresome for me to even hear them said stuff like…” I want to go to church….but….”blah blah blah””.
no time? don't like the pastors? don't like the people in Church?
Comm’on….....grow up, the problem is that you (or me) are not thankful! I am afraid if i keep complaining i will end up thinking that the problem is others, but really, the problem is you, me , & ourselves.

luxurious prison

Prison which is like a resort/luxury retreat center/recreation center.

I hope that Anders Behring Breivik  does not end up here...

Norway is such a humane country....but is it too merciful and too docile? ...that they are unware of the evils lurking around at the corners?

The Beatitudes

Matthew 5

Introduction to the Sermon on the Mount
1 Now when Jesus saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to him, 2 and he began to teach them.
The Beatitudes
    He said:
3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4 Blessed are those who mourn,
   for they will be comforted.
5 Blessed are the meek,
for they will inherit the earth.
6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
   for they will be filled.
7 Blessed are the merciful,
for they will be shown mercy.
8 Blessed are the pure in heart,
   for they will see God.
9 Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called children of God.
10 Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11 “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

---------------------------------------------------------------
There are only a few people whom i really respect and admire who posses these qualities...

sometimes its just so hard to see it in anyone, and i also do not believe those are blessings sometimes. Who wants to be poor in spirit? who wants to be meek and mourn? ....the culture nowadays is about me me me and showing off all the talents they have. And sure i admit i like the attentions and all the goodies this earth can offer; but the Holy Spirit always reminded me the old flesh is what He wants me to die to....and his hands is severe sometimes...

Fishing

We caught sea robins....No one caught the flukes. yucky looking fishes. But J turned it into a delicious meal.
He cleaned out all the guts too....thanks for all the hard work and a servant's heart.Cut the Sea Robin into Filets

Dip the filet in egg /vinegar /cornstarch mixture.

Pan fried w/ Olive oil  until brown

All of us are homesick for Eden.
We yearn to return to a land we've never known.
Deep is the need to go back to the Garden,
A burning so strong, for a place we belong,
A place that we know is home.

Beaches

I want to warn people not to go to Orchard Beach in Bronx.
It IS the worst beach i have ever been to.
The cops are all over Watching You on this small man made beach. and the parking lot is a scam. They will charge you $8 with out telling you all the weird rules which applied on this ugly beach and wont give you a refund (We requested a refund right after we found out all the strange rules on the beach, which is only 10 minutes after, we Didn't even use any facility on that beach).
The Cops won't even let your feet to touch the water after the life guards have left. I mean, seriously, they will ARREST you if your toe touched the water.

On the other hand, the http://www.bahiahondapark.com/   beach in FL is heavenly. Except the jelly fish larva stings.....
*Sign* ...indeed its a very itch summer for me. However, i am very thankful to know that US has such a beauuuuutiful beach.

The price of hugging dogs

All the itchiness after i hugged Ginger and Dudley over the weekend. As i was brushing Ginger, i found about 6 fleas in her velvety coats. Now i am itching all over.
But they are just too cute not to hug ....*sign*
